海賽科石油化工有限責(zé)任公司是由中國(guó)石油化工股份有限 公司、中國(guó)石化上海石油化工股份有限公司和BP華東投資有限公司分別按 30% 、20% 、50% 的比例出資組建的，總投資額約 27 億美元，是目前國(guó)內(nèi)的中外合資石化項(xiàng)目之一。
上海賽科建有 8 套主要生產(chǎn)裝置，具有上下游一體化的特點(diǎn)，體現(xiàn)了規(guī)模經(jīng)濟(jì)效應(yīng)。其中，設(shè)計(jì)能力109萬(wàn)噸/年乙烯是目前世界上單線產(chǎn)能的乙烯裝置之一，其余的7套裝置也均達(dá)到世界規(guī)模。
賽科采用世界上先進(jìn)的工藝技術(shù)，生產(chǎn)乙烯、丙烯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、苯乙烯、聚苯乙烯、丙烯腈、丁二烯、苯、甲苯及副產(chǎn)品等，每年可向市場(chǎng)提供國(guó)內(nèi)緊缺的高質(zhì)量、多規(guī)格、寬覆蓋面的石化產(chǎn)品超過(guò) 320 萬(wàn)噸。賽科建立完善的 QA/QC 體系，提供相關(guān)的售后服務(wù)及技術(shù)咨詢(xún)，從事聚合物應(yīng)用開(kāi)發(fā)。

Having 8 main production plants, Shanghai SECCO is featured with world-class integration of upstream and downstream, generating the benefits of scale economy. The 900 ktpa ethylene plant is by far one of the one-piece facilities that have the highest production capacity in the world. The other 7 plants having all reached world scale include: 600 ktpa polyethylene plant, 500 ktpa styrene plant, 500 ktpa aromatic extraction unit, 300 ktpa polystyrene plant, 260 ktpa acrylonitrile plant and 250 ktpa polypropylene plant and 90 ktpa butadiene plant.

SECCO produces ethylene, propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, polystyrene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, benzene, toluene and byproducts, etc with the most advanced process technology in the world. It can provide the market with 2280 kiloton of petrochemical products featuring high quality, multiple specifications and wide coverage that are in urgent demand in the domestic market. Having set up full-fledged QA/QC systems, SECCO provides the related after-sales service and technical consultation and carries out R&D of application of polymers.
